Dr. Joe Alderdice, B.S., DC, CCEP
Dr. Joe graduated from Life University Doctor of Chiropractic, Summa Cum Laude, in 1999. His post-graduate education includes certification in Cox Flexion- Distraction, the most widely respected chiropractic technique for the treatment of low back pain. He is also a Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner ( CCEP ) which provides the training he applies to areas other than the spine and forms the basis of his sports injury expertise. He graduated from the University of Tampa with a B.S. in Chemistry. Dr. Joe and his wife Nanci have three children, Jessi, Tres, and John, who are very active in Forsyth County schools and local sports leagues.
Though blessed with only average athletic ability, Dr. Joe is a lifelong athlete. A martial artist for 38 years he has competed in Karate, Judo and Fencing and is an avid "Crossfitter". He has run the last 22 Peachtree Road Races and hopes to run the next 22. He rides horses and motorcycles and enjoys skiing and tennis. As a result of these activities he has experienced many injuries, from back pain to an ACL reconstruction, firsthand. This gives him an important broad perspective on injuries and their rehabilitation as both a doctor an athlete and a patient.
Dr. Joe is well versed in most accepted Chiropractic and Physio-therapy techniques but owes allegiance to none, preferring to use the most appropriate treatment for the individual patient and the individual condition. Dr. Joe values patient input and believes that Chiropractic patients should be active participants in their own care. He is therefore always willing to accommodate any adjusting and therapy preferences of any patient on any visit.
